Thursday night at the track

Running Cobb stg2+ 93 octane mods Cp-e fmic, AR dp's, BMS DCI, and Dinan exhaust

best time was a 12.3 @ 109 Just curious the time is consistent with what some others with same mods but my mph seems quite lower than what i am seeing others.
Also ran a 2012 mustang he said he said he could not get out of the 13s we ran smoked him think he missed a gear and didn't try after wish i had vid I do have a vid against a new vette not sure if 2011 or 2012 I can not get it to upload but will keep trying he beat me off the line by a little but I ended up wining by about a car length with the 12.3 time was very surprised thought he would easily pull me but prior to running he said my times were better than him.

Anyone know what kind of vette that is just a sport?

What was the density altitude while you were at the track? This as well as a handful of other factors can make a huge difference...

I am 4 tenths faster than my best time from stg1 aggressive 93 to the stge2+ but the others were all low 13's. Now i am easily in the mid 12's with stge2+ consistently. but it was hot back then when i ran stg1.

Your great ET is part of the reason for your lowish trap. Clap(hope i dont get banned for mentioning his name) was running 117 bc his lack of traction and therefore his ET suffered

It's all about the conditions.

A good DA. Sea level Track. Flat or slightly slopping down. Low humidity ETC ETC all factor in.

I do somewhat baby out of the hole to keep from loosing traction. I basically brake to 2500 rpm wait for green let off break and leave foot there once in second i start pushing pedal gradually to the floor. Maybe i should be more aggressive?

Fastest way down the track is a 12% wheel spin. If you have full traction then you are leaving power on the table.

That sounds great Jeff... Now how do You judge that. lol Also would DR's get me to the 11's or just wishful thinking.

Anybody know what type Vette that is and was it all driver error on his part?

How do you judge 12% wheelspin? Heh IDK lots and lots of practice finding the right amount of wheel spin VS Traction. OR an extremely fast acting traction control system.

As far as the vette. If you go on drag time and look at 2006+ or just 2011-2012 vettes you can see how fast they run in stock form.

A z06 in stock form can trap 122-125 realistically. So you definitely were not racing a z06 unless his grandma was behind the wheel.

DR should get you down in times. For every .1 off the 60 foot is .2 on ET (common rule of thumb).

I disagree. He has a good 1/8 trap but low 1/4 trap indicating his car is down on power on the big end. I'd check the logs.

Trap = power for a given weight/gearing.

My trap was the same with a 1.8 and 2.3 60'. 109mph and 117 are worlds away.

Good luck.
