Anyone ever get DME code 10903?

Lightly accelerated from a light yesterday, car hiccuped badly once, then twice, check engine light comes on.

I pulled over, hooked up my laptop, and I got a 10903 code, which apparently led to a 12544 shutdown of the boost solenoid. I can't seem to find any information on code 10903 on the Vishnu DME list or anywhere else for that matter.

Interesting. Any idea what would cause that? Running Rev 3 procede + PWM (which I am having some issues with - odd boost behavior), FBO with stock exhaust.

10903 in decimal translates to 2A87 in hex. I've not seen that code before so it's not listed in the code list. But judging by the number, it's going to be either crankshaft or camshaft sensor related. Is it reoccurring?

Nice find. Looks like bad crank sensor which is causing a limp mode (boost shutdown).

Shiv, I've been traveling almost since the day it happened, so I don't know if it's recurring or not. I haven't seen it before. Just wondering if this could at all be affecting the PWM issues I've been having with stumbles between shifts, etc? This is Steve in Denver by the way.

Shiv, after getting back from a LONG trip around the US for work I have had at least two other occurences of this very odd "hiccup" which is really more like a fairly loud thud where the car bucks pretty badly. I have ordered a new crankshaft position sensor. For some reason I am not getting any DME codes when it has happened the last two times. But it's definitely recurring.

I had a 2A97 fault once. Happened in october. Wonder if this could be the source of my lean spikes, misfiring?

Seems like a pretty unlikely part to fail. Has anyone on here actually had one go bad, and resolved their problems by replacing it?

Anyone know how much a a new crank sensor runs?

After talking to Shiv, he doesn't think the crankshaft sensor was my problem. I had already ordered one, so I've got a brand new one I'd be happy to sell you. I don't believe I can return it to Tischer because it's an electronic component (at least I assume it is) and they have a 20% restocking fee. Let me know if you want it.

More than likely, if it was cps, it would be recurring at specific rpms I believe. The fact mine only happened once, it may have been due to a trans overrev situation that happened at the same time. I'm just guessing. Kind of getting tired of replacing parts with no results. But yes, a crank position sensor failure would be fairly rare on this engine. I too have been told that its unlikely to be the cause of my problem too.
