RGS Labs FW1 wax -- good or bad?

Opinions seem to vary...

Any fact-based info on it? (I searched for some old threads and basically people are like "wow it's awesome" or "wow that's crap", neither of which is particularly useful.)

The one credible comment I saw was from a vendor who said it wouldn't damage the car's paint. (And that to me is "credible" just because it's a vendor who wasn't actually selling the product.)

Thoughts?

Where are you located? How often do you drive the car? Is it garage-kept?

(Even before you answer those questions, I suggest going with another brand/product)

Ask yourself this question:

"How do I wipe off dusty, sandy grime from paint without scratching it?"

The video shows a little spray then a good scrub with a terry cloth towel. There is NO product that can safely do that.

I guess I should modify the question:

What if the car is already washed clean... then will this stuff be any good?

Or... do the chemicals that make it easy to "wipe off dust" actually end up eating into the paint?

It's a case where it all sounds too good to be true. But I was hoping someone would have some scientific support for or against it.

Lack of responses are probably because no one here has tried it, I feel like I know a pretty big number of products and I've never heard of it. I googled it and it seems like a crappy as seen on TV too good to be true type of product. I'd skip this and just get a good wax or sealant.

No product can be a waterless wash and wax and be good at doing either thing.

Frankly if the car is already washed and clean then you'd be better off using something like opti seal. It's still one step to protect, it's on sale right now for 20 dollars, it's proven to work, you'll get 20 applications from a bottle instead of 4, and it's a sealant instead of a (very questionable) carnauba meaning it'll last way longer. Why bother with something questionable when there are already cheaper and better solutions?
