E90 330 Resistance into turns
A few months ago, I traded my 335 for an 06 330i. I love everything about the car but have one problem and wanted the forum's advice. When driving at highway speed, and going into a turn, there is resistance that presses against the front of the car and will then release. Sometimes it is more subtle and sometimes the release is harsh. The rpms do not drop and it isn't the transmission slipping as I'm already in 6th gear. Go figure, I wasn't able to duplicate the feeling when driving with my Dad in the car. The dealer said that the car will apply slight brake pressure when the car is turning but I haven't looked into this. Keep in mind that this doesn't always happen. Has anyone else seen or had a problem with this? My CPO warranty expires in a few months and if there's anything I could get BMW to look at, now is the time. Thanks.

Traction control on, or off?
and what kind of turn are we talking about here? Are you just driving down the freeway and turning with the road, or is this a canyon situation where you are doing 65 into a corner? |

This is with traction control on, under normal driving conditions. Freeway driving where there's a slight bend in the road.

Stock suspension and RFT tires? lol
Im guessing you are experiencing the lovely body roll of these cars in a stock form, the e90 preLCI more then the current bodies also. say your turning left on the freeway, just following the road - the passenger front tire will feel like its being stood on by the whole car for a second as the weight shifts - and if you are on RFT tires, it is even worse because they are hard, and would rather slide across something then run over and move around it as a traditional tire would. Ive noticed this in my own e90, (preLCI 328) and it can happen with almost any setup ive had, but RFT and stock suspension are the worst for it. (13 different sets of rims, 6 different suspension, countless tire changes...) |

Haha. I had a temporary change in priorities. I bought a house and got a new job that's a 5 mile round trip commute so I decided I'd save some money for now and puts towards an M3 or something nicer for a weekend car after I put some work into the house.
