Hi Shiv,

Can you tell me why you needed to bypass the rear boost control solenoid? It's one of the only easily noticeble change to the car for a regular service. Is there any problems leaving the vacuum lines connected to the solenoid? At least for a service?

Also, I think running a single vacuum hose to connect the two in/outlets of the solenoid would be also work and be the same as capping them off individually correct? That look actually make it seem more stock and less noticeable.

You bring up a very good point. Perhaps a plastic piece could be fabricated that actually connects the 2 lines, and attaches to the boost solenoid, without actually connecting the lines to the solenoid. It would be a "dummy" connector, not unlike the clutch delay valve (CDV) delete.

That's what I thought based on past experience, but I just wonder why we needed to change that at all? And what affect this has in terms of over all boost control, if any...

How is the AA setup looking like ? Do they use both ?

Same as procede. It includes caps and a tee, although I just connected it to the factory tee (looks much cleaner).

I have been at bimerfest since friday and just got back late last night. So pls forgive me for not responding earlier. I am capable of answering the question since we did develop this method of boost control (after much trial and error). However, given the recent shift in the market, I am going to be a bit more careful when explaining what we are doing and why we are doing it. I really don't like to remain tight lipped on things like this. But I also don't like educating our competition. Instead, I'd encourage the thread starter to drop me a pm and I will give him the info he is looking for.
