vishnu check engine light

So I did a spirited run on the high way tonight mind you I just had the Vishnu installed Tuesday the car has felt amazing thus far. Until I did that run and saw engine malfunction POP up. I wanted to check what code it was but don't know where I put the manual. I remembered something about hitting the gas pedal while in the command center and didn't get anything. After a few pumps the and turning the car back on no light and car feels fine? Is there anyway to still check what caused the light? Sorry for all the run ons I'm on my phone at my friends house a little worried lol

Sounds a lot like a boost leak. Especially if you've only been running high boost for a few days. If it was a problem with the install then you'd see the light right away. Check all your connections. Especially charge pipe.

A vanos code is also likely now that these cars are getting older and putting on miles. OP- you'll just have to read codes to confirm. Give us a call tomorrow and we can show you how over the phone.

Mode 3 - Special Commands
Command 1 - DME Code Read

Reads all the fault codes in the DME and outputs them to the CAN DME Codes data logging channel.
DME Code list: http://www.vishnutuningforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22

Is this what I do to find out which code it was?

Are you running any mods other than the PROcede?

I had the same issues on 92 oct with just the PROcede. I even put 5 gal of race fuel in my car once thinking I could boost higher than 14 lbs at the track, but as soon as I went over 15 lbs my eng light would come on and the car would go into limp mode. A week later I ordered the meth kit and I'm able to run 19 lbs of boost on 92 oct pump gas all day long. Hopefully it's something simple. Talk to Shiv. Then order a meth kit. You'll be very suprised at how much more power you can make on meth and how happy your car is making that power. New maps will also help!

A little update havnt had time to get my laptop plugged in yet, but since then the car ran fine. Except for today while on the way to work it wouldn't boost pass 8psi. Then the check engine light came on and went back away. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow the latest ill be able to get on to check if the codes still there and run some logs.

Another update, today I finally had some time to try and get this software up and running to find out what codes I'm running. I went to my friends house GirthyN55 to see if he could help. After 30 minutes of trying to figure out why it wasn't connecting we found out the usb wasn't connected to the PROcede. Then took another 2hrs trying to update the driver! So that I would be able to get on and finally see whats up. Long story short couldn't get it up and running, and still have no clue what the codes are and still can boost past 8psi! Any suggestions?

Not that anyone seems to care anymore I figured I keep up with my updates. lol Brought my car into Auto Couture (the place where I had my parts put in. Amazing place and awesome people there!) We found out that my PCV is clogged. So will be replacing it and also adding a oil catch can. Hopefully the oil hasn't spread into anything serious. =/

Just call us and we can walk you through it. It really shouldn't take more than a few minutes to set up your laptop for communication.
