Help with Code 2EA1

A while back I got this code. Went to the stealership, and the said I needed a new oil level sensor. I bought an oil level sensor and replaced it, but the code is still there. Futhermore, I can't get the oil analyzer to reset, as it has been stuck at zero, for a while.

2EA1: oil condition sensor, communication

im pretty sure you have to program the sensor in and have it reseted but i may be wrong.

You'll have to get the new unit coded to the vehicle, just as pHo_e92 said. Many things on newer cars are "smart" sensors or modules, not just dumb senders.

You were right! Just got back from the stealership, and the sensor needs to get re-programmed in. So just changing it, does nothing. Thanks for your help.
