Sport line 335 doesn't come with staggered 18" wheels

According to the catalog that's currently floating around, it doesn't appear that the sport line will come with staggered 18" wheels. The catalog says that it will have "18 inch light-alloy wheels double-spoke 397, 8 J x 18, 225/45 R 18 tyres, only in conjunction with Sport Line." Then looking further down, it shows optional tires and it appears that the optional tires will have the staggered sizes along with one optional tire as non-staggered:

- 18" light-alloy wheels star-spoke 396, 8 J x 18, 225/45 R 18
- 18" light-alloy wheels V-spoke 398 with mixed tyres, 8 J x 18, 225/45 R 18 tyres at the front, 8.5 J x 18, 255/40 R 18 tyres at the rear
- 19" light-alloy wheels double-spoke 401 with mixed tyres, 8 J x 19, 225/40 R 19 tyres at the front, 8.5 J x 19, 255/35 R 19 tyres at the rear

Does it really matter ? Wheels are the easiest to upgrade item on any car (not the cheapest though )

That is disappointing! E90/91/92/93 335i had staggered rims as standard equipment.

Looks like BMW now chose not to in order to reduce homologated consumption (which is measured with standard options).

All the staggered wheel sizes do is add understeer and prevent tire rotation.

Yes,it does matter,a square steup is better. Most often than not you get tire rubbin when you increase front tires width to match the rear tires.

I agree. I would welcome a square setup.
Then we could actually rotate tires can get much better mileage.

225's all around is pretty narrow though.
245 or 255 all around would be much better for a sport sedan.
