Airbag Tag Hanging out of Passenger Trim

This may be a dumb question but how do you get the airbag tag out that is on the new 335i out of the trim? It seems fixed in there.

i don't know 335i but on 328i the paper in the very inside has the little holes but they are way in there so you have to pull and tear at the same time.

Just rip it out. If a small piece gets stuck in there, pull the trim off. There's plenty of DIY's for it.

Get a pair of tweezers or remove the trim.

don't listen to those guys, they don't know what they are talking about.

here is a simple DIY to remove that sticker. You will have to deploy the passenger side airbag. Once airbag is deployed, it will come right off.

It's not meant to be a challenge, though apparently it would be an effective owner qualification test...

Owner Does NOT pull the tab off, the car stops and return to the dealership, shuts down and turns into a pumpkin.

I would NOT remove that TAG... IT's new legislation, removing it would result in warranty issues...

Actually, if you have aluminum trim, becareful not to yank it too hard. When I did my ED, the guy who showed me my car was new on the job and quite enthusiastic. He grabbed the tag, yanked it upwards, and ended up denting the AL trim a bit. I had to report this and BMW replaced the trim for me under warranty when I brought the car into service here in the US.

Do NOT remove the tag for safety reasons. I noticed all BMW cars that were involved in accidents have had the tag removed before the incident. Your airbag may not function correctly either.
