Question Help connecting iPhone 3Gs in my 328Xi non iDrive

Hello,

I just got my 2007 BMW 328Xi from a private seller so I have not talked to a dealer yet. I see that it has phone button's on the radio and steering wheel and also a head with sounds wave type shapes coming out of the mouth. Does this mean I can sync/connect my phone and take calls from these buttons? If so how do I connect it without having iDrive? I have pressed the buttons and I do not see them do anything. I also have connected my iPhone to the AUX and seen a option for "TEL-MIN" and its a full level but I do not hear anything going on. Any information will help.

Thank you!!

You should have got a small manual with a telephone booth

You should have got a small manual with a telephone booth on the front.
Did you get the manuals?
Like a Dr Who telephone booth from England.
On the Radio
press the menu button
press the button with the telephone symbol
(no telephone button on the radio display probably means no bluetooth)
press BT button
get ready to press the search button but first
prepare your phone
enable bluetooth on the phone put in search mode
the same way you would for a wireless headset
press search on the BMW radio
when it finds it press add
enter the same passkey a 4 digit number on both devices
press OK
There are some manuals on the BMW usa website I am not sure if this is
but I would get one if you don't have it.
I have used an old motrola flip phone and a HTC with no problem so far.

All of this assumes the bluetooth module is installed it may not be
you should have the info on it from the seller.
