Bluetooth not turning on with idrive

Hey I had my evo paired with my phone and then it ran out of batteries yesterday and I had issues re-pairing...

So I shut off the Bluetooth from the idrive settings menu and now it won't re-enable.

Help! I am at the screen that says enable Bluetooth but when I press the I drive wheel the status won't change. Am I dumb? Is there a trick?

I just picked the car p from car max 2 weeks ago and so I still have the 30 days but I don't want to go in if it's an easy fix.

Please help - it's a 2006 330i with Idrive

Read some more about this - could it be the tcu?

I kept thinking it was simple but now I'm concerned it could be a 1k expense? Ack!
