I think this is the best on black interior, and works very very well with red on the coupe too. Light poplar would be more suitable for beige interior.

It's really difficult to capture on camara, there really is no brown tint. Anyway, it's a gorgeous trim to have.

I'm doing a 2008 ED on an E90 and my CA told me he expects it to be offered on the 2008 E90s. He said they just added it to the new 5 series. Currently my request is with burl walnut, but I'm changing it if the gray poplar is offered. Any ideas on the chances of this?

It is definitely difficult to capture. The flash or direct sunlight will turn it slightly brownish. Here are some "darker" photographs without too much artificial light shining on them. This is what it looks like inside the cabin most of the time.

Hey Jay, when did you sneak into my garage and take those pics? Oh, wait a minute....I see there are no buttons for the heated seats, but you did get the ZSP....you planning on changing out those summer tires when those nasty VA winters are upon you? Betcha then you will wish you got those heated seats!

Back on topic...I'm ecstatic with my choice of trim and interior color combo....and the exterior ain't too bad either!

I have the Gray Poplar on Gray Dakota leather. I get compliments on it all the time. As others have said, it doesn't look brown at all in person, but it always seems to in photos. I wouldn't change a thing.

Space Gray on the outside, call me Mr. Monotone.

That's so funny, the sales mgr also called it gray popular. I thought wtf doesn't this guy even know his own product, and he's the manager. Just like they said many people who own it will call it the Toyota Camary.
