Problem with sunroof.
My sunroof opens fine but when i try to close it, it goes 3/4 of the way then returns to the open position. At first i thought it was the anti trap sensor, so i took the car to BMW. They said that it was a faulty motor and replaced it for me. When i picked the car up it worked properly the first time but later that night the problem came back and is occurring on a consistent basis. Has anyone had this problem and if so do you know what the fix is. Thanks,

I've had this issue with my old 330ci.
i took it back to the dealer plenty of times to get this fixed, but they were never able to fix it. The only thing that I did to get it to close was to hold your finger on the button to close. This way it will close everytime, but it's frustrating. |

I had the same problem last year. They just reloaded the software since its a software malfunction.

there is a way to reset the timing i believe you have to hold the button up for like 20 seconds or something like that the release, that should take care of it if its a timing issue.
