e92,325i sound of engine?

HI,i'm new to this great, great forum.I've been visiting this place for a while and since i'm buying new bmw e92(my first one) i have few questions:
I was wondering is the sound of 325i similar to the sound of the 335i since they both are V6?
If not is it much lighter or.....?
Or if those both engine sound could even compare?

Thank you very much,
Sorry for my english i'm from Croatia...

First of all congrats to your decision of getting a BMW! Honestly, the two sound of the two engines cannot really be compared. I have a E92 (335i) and my wife has a E91 (325xi Touring). The sound of my 335i is much stronger and deeper than the 325 but that doesn't mean the 325 doesn't sound good. Just different. Go for the 325, you will like it. It's the kind of the "common" 6-cylinder BMW sound and that isn't bad at all, actually it's kind of cool. But again the 335i sounds brilliant, in particular when driving along houses or in tunnels.

Just picked up my first BMW last week, E92 328i. I'm not sure if you are referring to exhaust notes or how it sounds to the driver, but in any case, unless you are concerned how your car sounds to others, it really doesn't make a big difference. These cars are so well insulated from outside noise that engine sounds are pretty much muted to the driver, except under hard acceleration. I had the use of an E92 335i at the performance center and the sound of the engine, from what I could hear, was just as sweet as that on my 328i.

Good luck with your new ride!
