303 Fabric Guard

The video of the 303 Fabric Guard looks amazing.

Is it safe to use on high quality home area carpets?

Yes.

Fabrics have color packets. Most of the color packets are taken by the colors that make up the color you see. The reason fabrics stain is because some color packets don't have color occupying them and the stain takes place in the packet. Fabric guards fill the color packets with a transparent/clear color so that the packet can not be taken by another color.
