Chicago - NW Suburbs

I would like to ditch these noisy piece of $hit Bridgestone Turanza run flats and go with REAL tires.

I need recommendations on which all-season tires to go with. Also, recommendations on tireshops in NW suburbs would be appreaciated.

BTW, I have 2006 330i without ZSP. 17" standard rims.

How many miles do you have so far?
If under 20k, might as well get a new set of wheels from dealer.
$480 out the door for all 4 wheels.

If it's under 10K you should be able to get them replaced free from the dealer. That is, if they are wearing poorly due to manufacture defect. There is a thread about this. There was not official buletin, but I called my Service Assoc. at BMW, and he said that the Turanzas will be replaced it they were making noise, and wearing prematurely and unevenly.

I assume you moved from Vancouver, hence the canadian flag, and avatar name Luongo. I'm a Wild fan, but please, please get the nucks into form to beat the ducks.

How NW? Crystal Lake? I have heard good things about Rick and Lou's. I have not used them myself but am think of trying next tire buy. They mount for TireRack also.

Unfortunately, I'm at 23k. I brought my car into my dealership last year at 18k and complained about the tires and they made me pay $39.99 for balancing and rotation that didn't do anything.

Now that I'm at 23k, they are trying to rip me off more by insisting that I pay $150 for alignment check, and only then they MIGHT even consider giving me 50% off on the replacement tires. These guys are very shady, I tell ya. I hate bringing my car to these crooks.

I have filed a formal complaint with BMW North America. I hope they can apply some pressure and get me a new set of wheels for around $480. Otherwise, I will just go with REAL TIRES. No more of this run flat nonsense...

You guessed it!

BTW, even Luongo can't save the Canucks in the playoffs. They finally realized that cycling puck forever doesn't work in the playoffs, but it is a little too late.
