Is there any way to use the iphone roof antennae without the snap in?

I have an iphone4 that's fitted with a bumper case. This means it won't fit into a snap in holder that would give full functionality and the boosted roof antennae.

Is there a cable or similar that will plug into the iphone that allows it to use the roof antennae. I am using the Y cable, but phone signal is pretty poor at the moment

I think there are iPhone port extender cables that will plug in the snap port location, and you can attach the other side to your iPhone.
