Sonax question.

So I purchased some Sonax and was excited to use it on the wheels, but I noticed that one of my wheels has the clear coat pretty much peeling off.

Would it not be safe to use Sonax on this wheel?

How long are you keeping it on? You shouldn't leave it on the wheels longer than 2 minutes.

Well I haven't even tried it yet. I wasn't sure if it would damage the wheel if it went under the clearcoat.

I think it will be okay if you do it quick, but without the clearcoat lots of chemicals can damage the bare metal if you leave it on.

My suggestion would be to clean it well and then use a polymer seal to create your own clearcoat. Opti-seal is easy to use.

I'll leave it to one of the professionals here for a better answer.

Checked sonax website, they suggest to test a small area first.
