There's tons of recycled parts that showed it up for sale when i was looking for one and the price range was from as low as $150 to 350. But no actuators at this price.

I would have saved maybe $150 on the project if I would have gone the used way. And like it was said to me before : If you want to do things, do them right. So I ended up buying everything new with warranty and Tischer had everything but one of the actuators in stock; but he offered to order it next day so the whole order could be shipped the following day. Evan had me on this one!

I hear what you are saying. Used parts come with their own problems or hidden problems- warped, cracked, leak, etc. All for what?, to save $150, only to find out that there is a problem and have to do the labor/install all over again.

Tischer wants $934.53 and $49.95 shipping.

I know, To play you have to pay.

It depends on the deal you find. I got 3 stage manifold with the motors for $200. The company I got from I dont think they realized that the motors are there. And then I spent $100 on new hose and bolts and parts. So it is possible to find the deals. You just have to hunt for them.

I didnt say it wasnt possible; I just said that this is the kind of job that you dont want to do over if something goes wrong. I've considered wasting 4h of my time if I ever do the swap and something goes wrong with one of the used actuators. That added to the fact that most auto recycling centers cannot guarantee the condition of an item; most of them couldnt even go check if the actuators were included or not...

So this is why I went with 100% brand new parts; just to buy the peace of mind.

Oh I cheaped out on the screws; sorry.
