E90 OME Tires with Tire Pressure sensor?

I have a question here? I heard that the OME tires of E90 come with a little thing called tire pressure sensor? Before you get your new wheels mounted on, you have to order a new set of tire pressure sensor and put them into wherever it belongs to, otherwise, there will be an error msg showing on your panel? Is this true?

I believe you're ok with an 06, sensors were needed for 07 models if I'm not mistaken. On the 06, the indirect, rotational method off the abs sensor was used to determine the inflation.

Quick way to check is, if your oem valve stem is flexible (rubber) YOU DONT NEED THE sensor if the valve stem is RIGID you have the sensors.
