tow hook cover color
Hello e90post.
I have recently looked at some photos of my car and it seems as though the towhook cover is slightly lighter than the color of my front bumper. The reason why I'm asking is this - does it mean that the car's front bumper was probably repainted (or the car has a new one) sometime in its history, or is it possible, that the color on the towhook cover ages differently than that on the rest of the bumper? It could also be the lighting, but it just seems odd to me, that the tailhook cover looks lighter here. The bumper otherwise seems normal compared to the rest of the car and blends in nicely with the fenders. If it weren't for the towhook cover, I'd never think it's been repainted. |

I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I'd guess that the tow hook cover was the part that was replaced since they seem to fall off a lot.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I'm serious. I bought the car used and even though the salesman seemed fair (he gave away, that the rear bumper was replaced and other things), I'm not a particularly trusting person and a well done paintjob is very hard if not impossible to recognize without proper equipment.
