2006 Bmw 330i - Radio Pixels Dying
I recently bought a used bmw 330i and at the time the radio display looked pretty much perfect like this:
Then later on at night when I started the car the pixels looked faded and like they were dying out: The thing is that the morning after that I started the car and it was perfect like the first picture again. When I attempted to start it again the pixels were all messed up. Is there any solution to this maybe tighten something or loosening something? I know I can replace the whole thing for about $200 but if there is a simple solution that would be great! |

I HAD this problem.
I bought a 2006 325i from Carmax in April. They didn't notice the problem until after I mentioned it (after having the car for a couple days)
Yes. It is the heat. I live in Texas and I can tell ya, it gets annoying. If you got a warranty (like I did), I filed a claim and it was replaced (completely). I have CNA as a warranty company. They, like most warranty companies do NOT cover entertainment/nav systems but they DO cover faulty displays and gauges. I made a claim against the display and it was replaced free of charge. I had it done by our BMW dealership. I hope this helps. |
