If you have the oil cooler, do you still have problems with the Fuel Pump?
Hey guys, was wondering that are people who are having the fuel pump problems only the cars without the oil cooler? I'm obviously no mechanic... just wondering! Thanks!

How do you know if your car has the oil cooler? Is it March production? Mine was finished on March 30th.

Just check your right front wheel. In front of the wheel there's a black mesh if you have the oil cooler.

I believe they are totally unrelated.

True they are not related, but is there a connection to driving habits (not to jack the thread)? I just went over 6K miles and mine was built in 09/06. So it is an early build, and I have not had any problems. Am I just lucky? I do have a very long commute (65 miles one way) and I do drive over 100 mph, but I do not really take the car up to red line that often.

I do not think driving habits are a factor. I just went over 12,000 miles and I drive short intown trips. I redline the care ALL the time(3-4 times a trip). Thus far not a single problem. No burning oil. No fuel pump issues. Flawless.
9/06 build, step Also I just went on a rare trip ~600miles at outside temps of 95-105, Temp ranged between 230-260 even when I did a few back to back runs 75-135ish with a porsche carrera =) |
