hit while parked.
Hello..
What a day!! someone hit my car and ran away today. I looked at my car and thought..um...I can repaint it. I started my car and then found out that there was something wrong with it. My car was making noise like something was scratching. I am not sure what is wrong with it for now..so..please advise me what I need to check. Thanks.. |

Ugh! Been there a few times. Damn parking lot cut-through jerks. Did you report it to the police. Since you were parked your comprehensive should cover the damage. Guessing the scratching noise is something rubbing up against the wheel well. Probably nothing major judging from the damage. Last person to hit me while parked nearly tore off the front bumper.

I think it will need to be repainted , sucks dude; your black should be easier to match than my sparkling graphite.

Sorry to hear this man. Good luck with your car... I'm sure you'll make it as beautiful as it was before!

yeah, gone are the days when people leave notes on your windshield with their information after they hit you.
Not sure if this will affect your insurance but depending on the cost, you may want to pay the repair out of box. |

That sucks man! Try rubbing the white part off with a wet towel and put on make-up paint. It should look okay.

Check under the wheel well. Look at the liner that surrounds the tire. Then turn your steering wheel from side to side and see if it rubs.

I'd love to do this as well... I get's pretty pricey though... Especially if you go with a DVR.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this is covered by comprehensive your insurance rates should not be affected.

I'd definitely report it to the police and then your insurance company. it may cost you whatever your comprehensive deductible is, but it should really be fixed correctly. there is a lot of stuff back there and there is a slight possibility that more than just cosmetic damage occurred. if you don't get it fixed now it may be hard to prove/correct later.
