Anyone use Waterwetter?
I was at a race shop today and picked up a bunch of things. One of the things I picked up was Waterwetter.
Anyone use this stuff? I swore by it with my 944 Turbo track car but that was years ago. http://www.redlineoil.com/products_c...ubCategoryID=4

I use it in my 30 year old 6.9, but figured I wouldn't need it in a state of the art BMW.

Cool! What is the ratio of that and the pricing?

In the end I coughed up the $350 for the new core for the MGB. And don’t use water wetter anymore. And I can not imagine putting it in an E9*. Last edited by 742; 05-01-2007 at 12:31 AM.. Reason: Typo. Why do I never see my last typo in time? |

I use it in my Spec Miata...I would not use it with the BMW due to the potential clash with the chemicals in the radiator now. I say pass. I have it in my Spec Miata since they dont allow us to have coolant.

Thanks... I was also advised if I really wanted to use this, I should use diesel wetter.

Always use it in my e30, but don't use it in the E9X. I think at this point in time the engine has been developed to the point where water wetter won't make any difference.
BTW water wetter isn't supposed to bring the water temp down, it fights formation of air bubles in the hottest parts of the engine which improves the transition of heat from the metal into the coolant.

Also, waterwetter WILL freeze, unlike anti-freeze. So if you live somewhere where it gets cold enough DON'T USE IT. If it freezes inside your engine block, only very bad things can happen...
