BMW.ca has 2012 pricing and options updated

..but looks like they haven't changed the 'monthly payment' terms yet to reflect the september program.

October rates is now up.

MY2012 - 3.9% lease or finance. Same as MY2011. However, BMW Canada may revised the rates towards the last week of October to reflect the true (amended) rate for the MY2012.

Residual is still not known & set by BMW Canada.

i think that was just an error on their part.. i was quoted about 6.9% and the site updated and removed the 3.9...

should've taken a screen shot to use for negotiations haha

Wow ... 6.9% that's real high ... last year was only 5.9% when MY2011 came out.

For every 1% interest difference, for a 3 year term, you are looking at $50-$60more per month * 36 most = $1800 - $2100 for the entire term.

Hey another blogger says @ AutoWest in GVA, he was quoted 6% off MSRP (MY2012) without even having to ask for it.

What blog did you get this info?? I'd like to talk to the guy and see what he did and who he spoke to..

Well my dealer did say that the rates would be adjusted when the car arrives and he'd set me up with a loaner if my car comes in late.

He PM me last week and asking if 6% off is a good start and I replied back it's very fair considering MY2012.

Sorry, I deleted his PM and I cannot remember his username.

This is the annual game though isn't it? The residual on a 2011 (at last check was 53% for a 535xi. The residuals usually drop throughout the year as the next model year approaches. So the 2012 might be at 6.9%, but the residual will also be higher. the combination of the two (plus the new msrp) determine the monthly payment. Of course if the Q1 residual for the 2012's is the same as the outgoing 2011s and the interest rate rises 3%, the monthly payment will surely be up.

They are very low residual (IMO) ... thus meaning higher monthly payment !

1) Finance rate is 4.9% from 24/36/48/60 months

2) Lease rate is 4.9% - 57% Residual value - 24 months

3) Lease rate is 4.9% - 49% Residual value – 36 months

4) Lease rate is 4.9% - 47% Residual value – 39 months

MY2012 - 535xi ONLY - based on 20,000km/year

^^ you are smart in picking the 535. I guess if 'you wanna play, you gotta pay'

How's your search going ?

If the Toronto area dealer has the 550 residual, I am sure your dealers in the GVA should have the same info + 535. I do know BMW Canada released the # just this morning.

I actually like the 550, just can't really justify the need for the extra power and that BMW doesn't offer lease for 48 months on the 550. $10000 difference between the two.. That's panamera money right there!! Which I love! Just can't get away with 4 seats instead of 5..

Search is coming to an end I hope! Going to maybe put in a deposit this week.

The longer I decide or find a good deal, the more I keep on wanting to add options! Haha thinking of getting m sport now just for carbon black.. Torn between imperial blue and that right now.. Was originally thinking sophisto but I'm liking it less the more I see it on the road..

If you haven't gotten the 535# readily, I will try to get my sales contact here in Toronto to give me and then I will post here tomorrow morning.

I say Carbon Black is much hotter than Imperial Blue. Think of the black looking in a cloudy day/low light (night) situation and dark bluish looking in a really sunny day.

Like to hear your final pick when done.

Wow, thanks man! That would really be appreciated!

Do you have any experience with out of province purchases? I think I'm just not getting that great deal because they sell BMW's here like hot cakes! Haha

$5000 off isn't that bad tho, still trying to hit closer to $6000 but that seems unlikely...

Any advice on what I should do or what else I can ask from the dealer before I order?

^^ Leasing rate & residuals for 535xi is posted ... see # 12 (updated)

Residual is 4% higher than 550 across the board ... that's way more reasonable.

For out of province purchase - I have seen people do it but I am not familiar with the process. I am not even sure if it's feasible to do it due to taxes (from both provinces), insurance, transport fee, registration, etc. As far as I know, BMW dealerships in Alberta is even worse than GVA when it comes to price negotiation, I think the most competitive place to shop is still in the GTA.

As for for discount - perhaps dealing directly with the sales manager (as prev. mentioned by another blogger - dealing with Auto West) may provide you with a firmer discount ? If no further discount, maybe ask for dealership's Parts credit/voucher.

Is that for a 2012 ? If yes then even 5k seems v decent but obviously the more the merrier.

Yup it's for a 2012 535xi. Negotiations so far are pretty good, just trying to squeeze every penny I can from the dealer

Dealer at auto west also said that he'd give me a loaner BMW if my order doesn't arrive on time. While a different dealership said they'd help me rent from enterprise... Talk about cheap service
