It takes 10 mins to put it up and take it down and they custom fit the car nicely. For anyone looking to pick up the parts I found them here for a pretty good price http://bmw.autowebaccessories.com/ I am turned on by having nice car that will also fit my life style. I can take it out for a nice Sunday Brunch and then turn around and mount the bikes and head for some of my favorite hills. Am I alone here?

Thanks for the pics and the link. I have a bike rack that attaches to the trunk of my G35 now. I was wondering what I was going to do once I get my e92. Now I know. I won't use it often......since I don't like transporting my bike anyway but at least I know I have the option.

I have the same rack for my e92, only difference I have my racks alternating. I have the handlebars of one toward the front, the others toward the back. In doing so, I ensure that they don't smack because of the wind when driving. Of course, that's just me, paid too much for an Cannondale to have it scratched up, do enough damage on the trails.

how easy is it to remove the roof rack? it doesn't exactly add to the visual aesthetic of the car.

I can take the roof rack down in about 2 mins. I know it does not add to the car and for that reason I wanted a roof rack that came down quickly. When I add a 3rd bike I will put it in the center and turn it the other direction.

I would agree...I know that having a 2nd car to the 335 coupe may or may not be a luxury (mine is a 98 so may not), but I prefer to use a 2nd car for winter driving, dogs, having to carry lumber, etc. There's a guy in my office with a Lexus GS, and he drives to work every day with windsurfing equipment. I kind of feel he just wants everyone to see it, imply that he has an active lifestyle, because we're 90 min. from the ocean on a good day.

Those who have to use the E92 to carry things, or tow things, there's nothing wrong with it, but it's just not for everyone..my .02
