Aftermarket Wheels on an E92
I ordered the E92 328i april 16th without the sport package..i dont mind the stock wheels but i would really love to change the wheels to the m6 replicas ...but i cant help to think about all the possible things that could go wrong:
1. Tire goes flat..not run flats..no spare....screwed 2. Tire pressure monitor may not connect right?? is this an issue 3. Suspension will feel like crap with new wheels on? possible This is a leased car and im thinking there may be an issue with the warranty if i do a change like this..i guess my question is this..Are these problems an issue and is it wise to get these wheels if im on a lease? Thanks

2 and 3 are not a problem, get a strap kit and most anytihng will feel better than rft. for #1 you can get a mobility kit.

Conti Comfort Kit from tirerack is about $80. It is a pump and sealant. That's what I am going to do. I am also going to keep th original wheels and tires, so if I need a tow, they can tow it to my house and I can throw the originals back on until I get a replacement.

im in the same exact position as you. I am very worried tho since i wont have a spare.
Im gonna use the stock rims and tires in the winter and make sure the tires are in good condition so i can use them to return the car with at the end of the lease |

Brian, don't worry about 2. I'll give you the details about a shop near us that does the job well. He did mine and the TPMS came out just fine, $10 per wheel. Getting rid of the RFTs will be one of the best decision you'll make for the car trust me!
BTW, I got my wheels on within a month, so no, don't shoot the idea of putting wheels on so fast
