Some bastard hit my car last night at the mall.

I am so angry!! I'm not sure how much damage was done. The tail light needs to be replaced for sure. And the entire panel may have to be painted and replaced as well. I have an adjuster coming to appraise it on Wednesday. I sure wish I could find that effing cowardly @$$hole.

Some people have no common decency anymore.

oh man :mad: ... i feel your pain, mine was at the mall yesterday and i was fearing the same thing. can that panel be replaced, is it not part of the body of the car and not really a panel?

Can the dent be pushed out perhaps? i would not be too keen on re-painting the entire rear fender ...

I will be so angry too. I have a dent on my left back seat door at my first month already. Dont know who did it. My previous Toyota Camera also got hit and run for my rear bumper. My wife's 07 Mazda 3 also got hit and run three times in one and half months period. The car is brand new also. My parent's E320 also got hit and run at the rear bumper last week. I hate those hit and run ppl.

Thats why i park way the f#@k out there and walk to my destination.And if I know that parking sucks at certain shopping areas i dont take my car i will take my tacoma truck instead.Sorry it happened to u!!

yes that panel is replaceable, they just weld it onto the inner panel, now if thats damaged, which in this particular case i very very much doubt it is a hard repair including being pulled on a jig

Hm, looks like you MIGHT need a repaint. There is some chipping at the edges of the dent, and it's likely that it will continue to chip at that position. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but sh!t happens man...people are just plain STUPID at times...

The cosmetic damage itself isn't that bad but the bastard hit you just hard enough that you might need to repaint.

I sure hope it can be pushed out somehow, I can't really get a good pic to show how effed up it really is. I definitely don't want to repaint any part of my car but the dent is in an awkward place/ position.
