Downpipes with Eisenmann Race

Currently running an Eisenmann Race(section 3) only. I'm contemplating
going with downpipes and was looking for opinions of anyone running
an Eisenmann section 3 with downpipes. Would love to hear some clips of this setup in car.

The exhaust is already pretty loud which I like and I've read that adding downpipes won't really make it louder but just change the exhaust note
a bit. Is that true?

There is a bit of drone with the Eisenmann but not so bad I can't deal with it. I've actually heard that the removal of the primary cats can actually help with drone by shifting the RPM at which it occurs. I figured with still having secondary cats in place I wouldn't have as much issues with smell or raspiness of a full catless setup.

Thanks

Yeah Eisenmann race is loud for sure. Just wondering if downpipes change that much. I know full catless would be nuts but hoping with secondary cats it would be manageable.

My gut says yes..DPs will definitly make it alot louder..and potentially unbearable..the one i heard had DPs sec cats and eisenmann race..and was LOUD

Its really subjective tho..,b/c people have different tolerances for sound outta of their exhaust

I'm using stock down pipes with 2nd cat delete with eisenmann race and it's very close to my threshold of noise acceptability. If I went fully catless I think I might have to shoot myself or get a hearing aid in the future.

I had the setup of catless downpipes and eisenmann. It is really really loud. Drones pretty bad at 2k to 2.6k tpm.

I had this setup up until last week. Crazy loud. My entire house would shake while pulling into the drive way. Not to mention everything in the car rattles a bit. I switched to Vanguard and AR catless dps. Much better for me.

I believe you, mine is also fully catless and plenty loud with more moderate mufflers than the Eisenmann ones

I've also been contemplating on getting the race muffler with the SR DP's, I was thinking that the muffler alone would not be loud enough on a 328i sedan and not make it sound like a ricer civic. And I do not want to saw off my stock muffler and just make it a bolt on set up. If you guys live in Cali. do you guys have any problem with smog/emissions? Complaints with neighbors for loudness?

Wouldn't really know. You will be a better answer if you try posting in the N/A sub forum.

Does the sport version actually produces larger sound than the race ones? Or should it be the vice versa?

I had Eisenmann Sport and catless downpipes ... the loudness and drone was too much for me... stock mufflers back on now.... I might go for high-flow secondary cats for the best overall package.

You'd die with race version then. Definitely has a bit of drone to it. It's worth it for me still.
The member I bought my race version from swears Riss racing Downpipes actually lowered drone for him when he ran the race version. I'm thinking about giving it a shot. As long as drone is same or better I'd be happy since the Hp gain would be nice.

Love to get some comments from that fella about how the ARs changed the sound of the Eisenmann before he got rid of secondary cats as well.

Thanks I messaged him. IMO the Eisenmann race is crazy loud to begin with so as long as it's not much louder just a change in tone etc I could deal with it.
Guess worst case is I hate it and have to resell the Downpipes.
