Does anyone know who manufactures the auto trans for the E90?

I think it's past Fleet's bedtime by now. After he's had his Cheerios he can give us the complete breakdown.

I heard that the ZF tranny in the E90 shifts at about 200ms vs 400-800 that normal auto transmission shift at. Can anyone confirm this?

Just for comparison the auto gearbox in the F360 shifts at 180ms.

1) ZF = ZF Friedrichshafen AG. www.zf.com
Yes, its german, but has factories around the world

2) GM has produced gearboxes for BMW for decades. Some some US 328i models get them, as do some of the new euro 325i, 330i ect ect.

I believe they are made in France
