It looks like the BTIC except that it only has 2.5" connections instead of the 3" connections that's on the BTIC.

Aw yes, I forgot about that. Do you think that will affect the volume of the intercooler or make a noticeble difference in performance

I just did a custom job on mine the intercooler dimensions were 31x12x4 with 3" inlets an outlets on the left and right instead of the rear. The core was 24x12. It's very original haven't seen another with my setup. I ended up just doing reducers from 3" to 2 1/2" for fitment purposes but end result was awesome.

I don't see a point in 3" in/out on the fmic if the piping to/from it is 2.5"...am I missing something? 2.5" in/out would be just fine

+1111 That was my thinking when I bought my Godspeed V-mount. Same dimensions as Big Tom's (except 3.5" core), with 2.5" inlet/outlet. Since the stock piping is 2.5", why would you buy 3" and reduce it? That's money wasted on 2 extra parts that aren't required?????? I bought a 45 degree, 90 degree, 2 stainless steel couplers, and a 3' straight piece for the rest. All 2.5", and it fits terrific!!!

This is what I put in my 335. Same thing as the CX, but doesn't have "fits BMW E90X" in the title. If your going for a budget build, you can't beat this price!!!

Also, try these guys for all your silicone pipes and adaptors. Super selection and fast shipping.

My entire intercooler upgrade project cost me right about $300 to my door!!

3 inlet and out I think is unnecessary for our cars I know cars above 600 whp run 2.5 with out a single issue, 2.5 is more than enough

Would you mind describing your connections. I think it's something like this.
Drivers side: straight hose off intercooler to SS joiner to 90deg. From there is it just inserting stock pipe into 90 and clamping?

Passenger: 45deg straight from intercooler to SS joiner to straight hose to stock piping with clamp?

Does that sound right?
Thanks for help!

Yup! You got it!! That's exactly how I set mine up, and it works great. Make sure to get the "T bar" type clamps instead of the worm drive. Not only do the T clamps hold better, they won't tear up your hoses like the worm drive. GL!!!

How did you secure your intercooler? Not sure if I'm down for the zip tie approach.

I made 2 L-angles out of aluminum and had a shop weld them onto the intercooler, then drilled and tapped 2 holes on the bottom of the bumper support. Attached the angles with fine thread screws and lock washers. Solid as can be!!
