New 335is - Black trim discoloration

Has anyone seen a slight discoloration on the black window trim ? Kind of a psychedelic haze ?

Car has been waxed then washed several times but I did not wax the trim itself. Wondering if it is the standard gloss black paint and should be treated the same as the rest of the finish.

Thanks.

I've seen other reports of the black trim discoloring.

I've always treated it like paint - polishing and then sealing (or waxing) it.

Mine looks like the day I picked it up.

You could always try a small area to see how it goes...

My E46 ZHP had the same thing. Black window trim with a bizzare purpleish haze/burned type finish. Cheap finishing by BMW imho. You would think they would strive to improve this given that the same thing happens to the chrome trim.

Could be, but one of the previous threads complaining about the discoloration was also a 2011.
