Steering Wheel making funny Noise. . anyone else?

Well this little annoying sound was discovered by my SA

He test drove my car and noticed the low level humm/squeek when turning the steering wheel.

I already have a service order trip next week to replace what he thinks is a BAD BUSHING

Any one else had this problem?

Car is only a week old

Not on my 335, but I've had the same issue on my Jeep a few years ago -- new bushing.

Yup. Had it on my 330. It would squeek when turning in a parking garage or other slow speed maneuver.

Had to send it in for a fix. Pretty common problem apparently b/c when the SA was taking my info, the problem was already in their system and it automatically filled in several fields. Got to drive a 328i coupe though as a loaner. Fun.

Yup, got the whole steering column replaced. Loaner 328i for a day and half.

Problem fixed under warranty.

Seems like a common problem. My dad's 5 Series had the problem, he got the steering column replaced, but the problem still existed. Annoying squeaking noise. Just got an S550 4MATIC though, $5k off MSRP and got the rest of his 5er lease bought out (3 months or so). Not bad!

Mine is making not so much a hum, but an annoying knocking sound when slightly turning the wheel, or going over bumps. SA told me it was a bad bushing, but they can't fix it until the sound gets louder...
