Wheel noise/vibration changes with speed
I have a problem. Recently, I noticed that my right rear tire has been making a lot of noise. It's as though my wheel has a flat spot because it increases or decreases in relation to the speed of the car. It's really loud in my interior. I examined the wheel while rolling and it looks like it's rolling true and I don't see physical evidence of it being wobbly.
Driving around SF there's a lot of potholes and construction. Is it possible that hitting one of those pretty hard could have bent the interior sidewall support of the RFT? Then this created an inconsistency within the tire which is causing the vibration and noise? Give me some ideas please.

+1, might as well get an alignment as well while you are at it

Cool. Thanks for the recommendations. Is that covered by the 4 year maintenance?

i think an alignment and tire balance should be about $150 out of your pocket

150 seems steep, to balance all ur wheels should be no more than 40-50$$ and an alignment should be no more than $50....
thats what they go for up here, and here it's canadian dollars.... usd would be 5 bucks cheaper... |

Yeah first see if the wheel is properly balanced...if that doesn't fix it...then look at alignment.
