Hey everyone. Does anyone know or have a short shifter for an AT? I don't like how high the knob sits and thought about sticking a smaller one in it's place to give it a sportier look.

Does the BMW Performance shift knob drop the height a little?

no idea. I haven't seen a comparison between the two.

You can fit an MT knob, but I wouldn't fit one to my car. Better off saving up for:

You can use MT Performance Knob on ur AT. It is alot shorter than regular knob.

As much as I like that, I'm not sure how high that will sit in real life. I was kinda hoping to lower the shifter by an inch or so. Everywhere I've seen, the DCT knob seems a little too high for my taste.

I wanted the same thing and I ended up going with a Momo "short anatomical" knob in black leather. I used the manual knob and it looks great. Sorry, I don't have a pic and the car is in another state (waiting for me!) but I copied the idea from another post here. If you search 'manual knob on auto' you'll find it. I also have no issues with the reverse lockout, which is a concern for some.

NO. It's about the same height as the OEM knob.

Sits nice and low. You'll need an adapter kit to get this to light up. I had a set from Motivemods.com Great look!

or DIY in the DIY M5 shifter section (towards end of thread is the correct M3 knob wiring (different to M5)). Connectors+wires ~$40.
