went to service dept today
so after reading the post last night about the recall on the bridgestone turanza tires on the e90, i decided to stop off at my dealer( being that it is practically next to my school) to ask my service advisor about this and to make a service appointment. when i asked him about it, he denied denied denied and said that if there was a recall, bmwna would have sent me something in the mail. and suggestions as to what i should do?

or even better would be to get a document that states the recall and take it to that dealer just so that way they have to do it.
kind of like revenge on a really small scale i guess, i dont know if its worth it to you but i think itd be funny |

+1. Get a copy of the recall bulletin and use it to jog their memory.

OK, it's not a recall, it is a TSB.
Go back there, complain that the tires are noisy and you want them replaced. If they baulk, thrust this in their face: http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/...p/B360606g.htm

Also noteworthy on the bulletin is that the dealer is to render the tires useless and dispose of them. Remember with the Firestone/Ford Explorer fiasco? Firestone replaced the tires but the so-called defective tires in some cases were not destroyed and resold?? |
