e93 rear headrests..

are they removeable? has any1 tried?

n whats that other black bit behind the actual headrest... some kinda health n safety thing?

i think the car would look so much better without them..

I'd be wary on removing the headrests. A car with this much power might give your rear passengers whiplash without that head rest.

I beleive the piece in the back of the headrest is the roll bar that pops up if the car senses a roll over.

They are not removable nor should they be disassembled as they are part of the roll-over protection system.

I read somewhere that they were removable but then you had to look at the interior of the roll bar. Saves you an inch but is it worth it.....?

I can confirm that having just looked at mine there is no obvious way of removing them. The manual also has no instructions on how to remove them.
