Hello Everyone,

I have a 2007 E92 & the "insert" where you would hold the door to close it on the driver door is peeling. Is anyone else experiencing this problem??? I went to BMW & tried to order a new "insert" & the advisor told me that they don't make that specific part. BMW is telling me I would have to change the entire panel (the panel incluses all the window controls & side folding mirrors control). The price BMW quoted me is $250 for the entire panel + labor... That's F-ing ridiculous.

Does anyone know if BMW acutally makes this specific part? Has anyone had this problem fixed???

Prestige BMW in Ramsey, NJ has a third party company they use to dye the isert. I am still waiting on the advisor to call me back with a quote on the price. I would have to leave my car there for a few days though.

I have the same problem......the dealer in florida wanted to charge me $947.00 to replace the whole insert....i laughed....lol....then at the showroom i saw a 2011 convertible with the two tone interior with black and oyster colored seats......spoke to a person who dyes car parts for dealerships here in the tampa area and we decided to change all the vinyl and plastic parts from beige (original interior) to solid black......this is what we are looking to do....he gave me a great price for the project.....scheduled to dye the interior next saturday.....will post pictures of results
