Highest milage 335i Step without a problem?

Who has the most milage on their 335i step that hasn't had a) fuel pump failure
b) overheating because of lack of the oil cooler.
I only leased mine for 20k miles and 2 years and am hoping for "no problems" since my dealer is 2 hours away.Ironically we bought the car to take long comfortable trips in but after reading all the problems on the board we always take our Odyssey.Sucks to own a 50k car you don't feel comfortable driving long distance's,I have 3200 miles since January and the only thing that broke was the flashlight in the glove compartment.Someone said its only a matter of time before the fuel pump dies.

~13.5K miles, neither problems. Drove from FL to GA, about 6-7 hours, speeds of 90+ mph most of the way, and same on the trip back down to FL.

I'm pretty comfortable with the car's reliability after that trip And I drive it daily during the week to/from work, 1 hr each way, hence my # of miles

Just enjoy it. The signs of failure, if any, will give you a heads up. Long starts, warning lights. Once mine started it was a 3 day wait until near death. Went ahead and towed it in.

There really is no reason to feel uncomfortable about driving long distances. Besides you have roadside assistance.

Trip-interruption benefits
If you should experience a breakdown covered by
warranty 100 miles or more away from home, you
are entitled to trip-interruption benefits, including
reimbursement for meals, lodging, car rentals and/or
substitute transportation. We will also provide travel
arrangements to reunite you with your vehicle after it
has been repaired at an authorized BMW center.
This coverage, including towing, is limited to $750 per
incident, up to five days. Claims for these benefits must
include original receipts for services provided (i.e., meals,
lodging, car rentals and/or substitute transportation).

^^^ Is that applicable to the regular BMW Assist or is that the extra option you pay yearly for...

698 miles but I have to agree Brunotheboxer, failed pumps are unfortunate but to imply the will all fail is no different that the oil cooler crowd running around telling everyone cars are overheating.

Try driving it once in a while. It makes the ownership experience even better

Lowest mileage?

I think I have the lowest mileage fuel pump failure. Just over 200 miles (March production).

holy crap! that means that there actually is NO SUCH THING as a fixed pump! there might be pumps that dont fail, but its still all luck of the draw!
