Build Status...Believe the CA or 800 number???

Several people on his board report differences in what they are told about their cars status by both the CA and the 800 number. My CA told me week 17 build, and the 800 number says week 20.

Is the CA's info more up to date? It seems like the CA knows more because the 800 number can't give status coes, or updated specs, etc?

Am I right?

yup... sometimes the car will jump ahead in production and the 800# lags behind a bit.

from what I understand, once the car is at the port in Bremmenhaven, the 800# "looses contact" if you will with the vechicle, your CA can actually see what vessel it is on, and the estimated delivery to their dealership..

I would say that the CA has the most updated info. Although, when you call the 800 # and speak directly with a rep, they can also look into the system to show which status your car is in and what day it will be completed, that way you don't have to bug your CA.

That is what I've been doing, calling the 800 # everyday to speak with the rep to find out the production status. As of today, my car should be completed this Thurs. April 26. Hopefully, it will catch the next vessel out and I will have my car in 3-4 weeks from today.

What was your production number and what week were you scheduled for?

My car also has an estimated completion date of 04/26! as of latest status from my CA this morning, my car was at Status 152 - Entry Paint Shop.

FWIW, I was told that my car is supposed to be a Week 17 build. It started production according to the 800# last Thursday, 04/19. My production #: 3633XXX.

I get to see my car in 4 weeks in Munich, but then have to wait for the killer redelivery back to the west coast.
