Hey guys just some problem need to ask.. i own a 335i Coupe from 10/1/06 have about 7k on it..

so......tonight after i finish playing basketball, started heading home and went to 85 high way and then all of sudden my iDrive and screen went freeze on me and i try to find out what the problem was and start pressing the eject button and didn't do anything so i pressed the emergency button and went to the side and i believe i was going about 60MPH and then i notice right away there were some metal plate on the side and i went right over them and you guys know the sound of going over the bump in parking area?? that was like that sound but 5X bigger and louder and after that i was so shock and worried what will happen to my car then i started the engine again and headed home,BTW the iDrive and screen still freezed, right before i went to the garage the screen show up and i check the exteior nothing looks wrong and the idrive works too and i just want to ask all of you what knows the car a lot is there any internal damage when i went over the bump plate on the high way????????????????? So freaking worried right now im sitting in front of my PC waiting for answer plz help

Leave your car on the driveway and start it and let it sit for a while, see if there is any unusual leak, smell, or sound. If there isn't then you should be fine, usually the objects just scrape or dent the protective covers, not a big deal unless if they come off. Try to look under the car to see if anything is stuck or coming off.

If your talking about what I think u are?
You have zip to be concern about & your car is fine!

The grooves in the road are to wake people up or drift to shoulder.
They are not meant to damage your car in any way shape or form!

you know on the side there are metal plate and i went over and it was like so loud like going over a bump with 60mph and what im thinking right now is that did i damage the suspension?

I just check under the car and there seems nothing wrong and everything seems fine and i started the car and there is no weird noise just for the cd loader so what is the damage? None? or minor? F*ck im so worried cause this is my car you know and i will do everything to keep this car from any damage and BTW is there any 335i coup owners live in San Jose/Sunnuvale area? cause i really want to meet all of you guys you guys seem so nice !!!!!:rocks: :rocks:

I think the sound you heard was the metal hitting your tire/wheel. Maybe check with a wheel shop to make sure it is balanced.

Oh my was a BLACK/Cream 335i Coupe with everything(all the package except Active cruise control) on it and i go to De anza

I hit a 3 foot wide, 10 inch deep pothole at 60mph in my e92, it jarred the car so hard that the CD skipped, and I bit my tounge. Everything was fine except my tire has a little nick out of it now... and the rim got a small scratch. e92 ZSP rims are some sturdy hunks of metal! no wonder they are so heavy.

A guy from my work hit the same thing in his 530xi that day, bent a rim, got a flat, and screwed up his suspension.... e92 is a solid car...

I'd go take a picture of the hole and let your transportation administration take care of it

If all you have read my post of the Big Problem i was driving today and i notice that there is weird noise under my hood and then after i open the hodd the sound is much louder and notisable so what up with my car now??

I'd take it to the dealer. Something may have popped loose.

Try to reset your computer. Press the CD eject button, the DVD eject button and the Start/Stop button all at the same time. See if that corrects your iDrive problem.
