SF 4000 and 4500 The same thing?

Wanted to do a 3 step menzerna correction: got SIP, and 4500 and 4000. I think I accidentally ordered the 4000 instead of P0203s (Power Finish) and should have gone SIP-Power-Finish-Micro Polish. 4500 is listed as micro polish on DI (http://www.detailedimage.com/Menzern...P217/32-oz-S1/) distinct from the 4000 which is "super finish polish" (http://www.detailedimage.com/Menzern...P228/16-oz-S1/). both products look exactly the same (purple cream) and on the bottle they are both called "Super Finish:" 4500 doesn't say "micro polish anywhere on the bottle.

Can someone help me out and confirm they're the same before I waste $35 instead of returning the 4500. Thanks.

Greg @ DI helped me out (As usual) so here's the answer if anyone else has the question (they probably don't).

The products are somewhat similar but still definitely different. I consider the 4000 to be a light polish and the 4500 is a very light polish. Check out this chart, the 4500 is the PO85RD and the 4000 is the PO106FA. The PO106FA has significantly more cutting/polishing power to remove more noticeable imperfections. Most people would use the 4000 with a white pad and then use the 4500 with a blue pad to "jewel" the paint.

The PO203S has actually just been discontinued but we have a few left. The PO83 aka SI 1500 with an orange pad would be my pick if you want something more aggressive, afterwards use the SF4000 and if you want the show car shine follow up with the PO85RD (SF4500) and the blue pad but this is not a must have step. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Ugh. Not good news. Is there a replacement on the horizon?

Menzerna GMBH, EU polishes have slightly different formulations and cut levels compared to the Menzerna US versions

I'm very surprised that Menzerna USA would discontinue their newest one-step polish (PO 203)

I just emailed menzerna about this....

the email said "...SIP will do the same thing..."...

It will cut the same, but it doesnt finish out as well IMO. Im grabbing enough bottles for the next 6 months right now!

I've seen how much you love 203, and I had a feeling this news would hit you the hardest. Stockpile that mess, Eric! At least then I can hit you up when I run out!

Unfortunately the PO203S is definitely going to be gone shortly, I bought the last of the 16oz size and we don't have much left. The PO83 (aka SI 1500) was so close Menzerna just didn't see the need to keep both. During phone conversations with Menzerna USA they estimated the formulas are about 90% - 95% identical. I know change can be hard but hopefully the Menzerna Super Intensive Polish SI 1500 (PO83) will be another great Menzerna product you can use in it's place. Let me know if you have any other questions.

SIP cuts better, but doesnt finish out as well, which is why 203 was a perfect follow up for 105 for a solid two step process.

I wonder where Menzerna US are getting their polishes from if they are so different.

Personally I'll pay S&H from the EU to obtain 203, its the best one-step polish I know of...
