dr colorchip on my now sold 06 330xi

I have to say that touch up paint did wonders for several areas on the car which had 76600 miles when I sold it. I was able to fix 2 scratches to almost not showing at all and well hidden since the rest of the car had been buffed and polished plenty. There were rock chips and little scratches that disappeared with ease. The level 2 kit has three little paint brushes/applicators that make it easy to fill just the area you want and not get paint on the surrounding area. I wish I would have had pics from the day I bought it with 74400 miles on it because 2200 miles later it looked ten times better inside and out. I think I will end up getting a kit for all 3 of my cars based on my experience with using their graphite metallic.

Here is pics of before I repaired the damage in a few spots.

I had worked on this last one a bit a few different times, mild wet sanding and polishing. The first pic scratch was less obvious than this after treatment.

When used correctly it is a great solution to rock chips and deep scratches! It did a great job on my 100,000+ KM 330i!

Put some pics of the damaged areas so you get an idea of what I was having to try and fix before selling.

Just the standard touch-up kit. It will go pretty far.

Did you use the kit that includes the SealACT solution to smooth out the repairs? I have several deep scratches and rock chips I'd like to repair but am tossed up between Dr Colorchip or Langka. I want to make sure I can fill and smooth out the chips so it looks like it wasn't there at all, not to just simply color in the rock chip.

I just went with this for paint

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and this to apply it

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've applied the black paint to most of my chips and scratches and waiting a day to start putting on clear. Will just build them all up layer by layer of clear till it fills the chips. Planning to wet sand the whole hood with 3000 unigrit or 2500 if needed before compounding as my hood is just littered with rock chips, scratches, swirls.....all sorts of problems. The chips and scratches not on my hood are not too bad and will get only as much wet sanding as needed to correct the touch-up paint.

I have every expectation that this will end well. But at the very least it'll be a fun learning experience.
