When I got in my car this morning, I noticed that the A/C was set to 60 degrees and I thought that was really odd because I always keep it at 72. Then when I drove off, I noticed that the doors did not lock as they usually do. So, I go into the OBC system and sure enough the automatic door locking setting had been switched to off.

I imagine there must be some kind of fault in the electrical system. It's a little unusual that some settings were changed and others were not. For example, my daytime running lights hadn't changed nor did the 3x turn signal setting.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Does BMW have a solution or service bulletin for it?

Are you certain you weren't using the other fob?

It's always good to find out the problem is "DUE" (dreaded user error) before lots of $$$ is invested.

I couldn't understand why my 128i's convertible top wouldn't operate from the keyfob (I have comfort access) until I discovered that I was trying to use the fob from my E91. Luckily, I later checked the E91 (which was parked 60 feet away) and discovered I had also managed to lower all the windows and sunroof -with a fast approaching thunderstorm! One lives and (hopefully) learns.
