Bmw E90 Control Arm Bushings
I have a 2006 BMW 325i and my front control arm bushings need to be replaced.I was thinking of upgrading to the M3 control Arm.How many of you guys have upgraded to the M3 control arm on a Non-M?
Thanks, E90 Freak |

For your 325 if you start with M arms be prepared to eventually replace your suspension as it fails over time with all M suspension parts as they are designed to work together. Parts alone total near $2000 for a complete set. |

Ask your dealership if you could take a 328i sport out for a test drive and take it on a rough road to get an idea of what you are in for. |

I did it, was kind of a pain but nothing that can't be done in your garage at home. Getting the new arms to fit where the bushing meets the subframe was the most time consuming for me.

Since I have an E93 with Sport, this isn't apples to apples, but I changed my front arms to M3 components at the same time I replaced OEM shocks with Koni FSDs.
The difference in steering response and feel was like night and day. If I were to buy another 335i, changing out the front arms to M3 bits, would be the first thing I would do. But note that I focus a lot on steering response and directness - experiencing all the road irregularities thru the steering wheel is not to everyone's taste.
