Coolant Question

I'm low on coolant and don't know if I can make it to a BMW dealership to buy the BMW brand coolant. Is there any good stuff at local parts stores, and if so what brand/type of coolant should I buy? Or should I just hold off until I can get to BMW and buy their stuff?

Thanks in advance,

Jared

Any brand name 50/50 mix will work. Or you can just used distilled water and forget the coolant. Either way is fine.

Exactly, use distilled water until you can make it into the shop.

Not all coolants are BMW compatible - top off with distilled water or call your dealer to determine the proper stuff to use.

Any coolant that is aluminum safe will work. BMW compatible is a joke.

I personally would just use distilled water since it doesn't freeze in your area.
