Has anyone had non start issues with fuel pumps?
My car only cranks...does not fire up.
I have no fuel pressure from either pump on my datalogs. I checked the lpfp, and it's getting 12v, I hotwired the lpfp and still does not build fuel pressure. ***No I am not taking it to the dealer*** Does anyone actually know anything about this fuel system? I am leaning towards the low pressure pump. Thoughts? |

haha you keep making new threads every hour. you know you can just bump your old thread and people will eventually see it. everybody just takes theirs into the dealer as this is covered for free so there probably aren't a lot of guys that have troubleshooted this issue on their own. it does sound a lot like hpfp imo. if you are dead set on not going to the dealer and getting a free one then might as well replace it yourself and see, can't hurt

Well, not every hour...I forgot about the bumping thing.
My dealer already said they wont cover it anymore with my mods...and I do like to do things myself. It just seems like the HPFP keeps the car from running well, not not starting. |

its def the HPFP, had mine replaced 4 times, modded, I had no issues from the dealer, i had problems with the pump where it wouldn't even start at all, then times where it would crank but no fire, and once it even stalled.
These things are a bitch, and are very expensive, your better off talking to your dealer and getting them to replace it. |

When my HPFP/LPFP went the car wouldnt turn over/start at all. The car had to be towed to the dealership where they replaced the fuel pumps. 99% its your fuel pump. |

But on the service sheet both were noted as replaced, so at the very least im going to assume that the HPFP was dead and the LPFP was not 100% or else they would not have replaced it. |

So by 'no codes' do you mean that there's no lights in the dash? Or have you actually hooked the laptop up to your tune and there was no codes given?
If you haven't done the latter, I suggest you do so....

just thought I'd bump and give an update...replaced the HPFP, the LPFP and the low pressure sensor...no change. Still not building fuel pressure on the JB4 datalogs and not starting.
It turns overs, but does not start. A little tidbit, that I thought was unrelated, but I am questioning now...I blew off a DV right before it happened, but obviously put it back on. I read codes with the JB4...there are none I data logged fuel pressure....there isn't any I checked 12v to the LPFP...it's there I tried unplugging the sensor on the charge pipe (the old MAF trick, to see if it's bad) I even pulled the JB4 all the way out and put it stock to see if that was the problem I'd appreciate suggestions...but I would appreciate suggestions that are constructive.
