Best way to prevent bumper scratches/dings

Does anyone know of something to apply to your bumper so it doesn't get scratched and dinged by people parallel parking into you? I've seen people apply a clear coat to their hood, but not for bumpers. In NYC its pretty hard to have a clean bumper, and there are many people driving with those bumper bully things... but they're plain ugly! Any ideas?

I'm more concerned with my front bumper. People backing into spots have a hard time judging rear clearance in comparison to the front

Clear bra might help but not 100% guaranteed. I don't think there's a clean and tasteful solution out there, sorry.

clear bra is going to get marred pretty quickly if it's cars backing into you. sadly it's a big pitfall of parking in the city.

can't really avoid that OP. I have the bumper bully and it saves me from a lot of scratches. It looks ugly that's why I put it in the trunk when I drive away. Those thing cant protect the side of the bumper though. If you park on the street a lot, all you can do is pray.

Don't use your parking brake unless on an incline/decline, this way if someone taps your car, without the parking brake engaged - your car will move and transfer some of the
energy to the wheels and not absorb it all in the bumper.

Otherwise, just try and enjoy your car
