ebay issues... they have me by the balls...

has anyone had to deal with this bullshit from ebay before? they somehow "linked" my account to some dickheads account who was suspended and therefore i am being investigated and suspended or whatever. here is what they say:

To help you be a successful seller and ensure a safe experience for the eBay community, your account has been restricted until additional information can be verified or obtained and we're able to confirm that your use of services meets the guidelines in eBay's User Agreement.

I understand that this process may seem confusing. Please let me explain a little more about it. We're committed to reducing both fraud and negative buying experiences on eBay. To maintain a safe marketplace, we sometimes restrict selling activity, end active items, or suspend accounts until additional information can be verified or obtained. These actions are not necessarily meant to be a reflection of your account's activity, but rather a preventative measure.

Learn more about eBay's User Agreement:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/user-agreement.html

To appeal process this restriction, please review the following guidelines:

-- Resolve issues with the following suspended/restricted account:

skylarenterprises

We determined that your current account is associated with this suspended/ restricted account. Your restriction will continue until the issues related to the account above have been resolved. Under the eBay User Agreement, you may not use eBay if there are unresolved issues with your account.

Also, the eBay Privacy Policy states we can provide further details and respond to an appeal request only from the above account's registered email address. Review the Privacy Policy here:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/privacy-policy.html

-- Submit all of the following information by fax (fax number below):

- Documentation that shows that you purchased the item(s) recently listed for sale on eBay. This can include either manufacture invoices or receipts. Unfortunately, we're unable to accept photos of the items to fulfill this requirement.

-- Important --
- Make sure that your name and user ID appear on each document that you submit. If this information isn't included, it can't be processed.
- Be sure your submitted documents are current, valid, and legible.

Fax all documents to:
eBay
Attention: SRM Appeals
Fax number: (801) 880-7018

-- Note --
- It may take up to 3 business days to review your information.
- All documents submitted will be destroyed after we review them.

Please reply to this email after the above requirements have been met and we will begin the appeal process. Also, please be aware that we may ask you to provide additional information to appeal this restriction.

We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter as quickly as possible, and we look forward to working with you in order to establish a strong selling history and successful business relationship.

Thanks,

eBay

The number seems legit, and I'm not sure what they would get from that kind of info. Either way, I would call eBay directly from a number on their site and just get transferred to the right department. If it's true, they will be able to see that on your account and go over the steps with you.

I have a friend who got that legitimately from eBay. Usually, it's right. It's based on the address of the other member in question, so more than likely, you were banned.

Stop reregistering and screwing people.

what the fuck are you talking about? this is the only name i have ever had. 150 positive feedback, and they banned me for no legitimate reason. they said they were not supportive of my selling practices. what does that even mean?

needless to say, they have 135 dollars of mine and i have no way to recover it now.

they claim:

To help keep our website a safer place for buyers and sellers, your account will be restricted from selling indefinitely.

Our decision is based on evidence from our records. We're not comfortable with your selling practices or business model, and we feel they don't help to promote a positive buying and selling environment.

i have NEVER had a bad experience with a buyer. i can't understand why this has happened..

So have you tried calling them? Maybe you are suspected of selling stolen property or fake products where the company complained rather than your customers.

I was screwed over by ebay like this. I was running a legitimate business and they didnt like how much money was going into my account so they banned both paypal and ebay account. They also sent emails to everyone i did business with saying I was scamming them and to do anything possible to get their money back. I ended up receiving death threats on my phone from people who bought from me.

My accounts were down for a week the first time then 3 days the second time and less than a day the third.

Once they get your account sorted out have someone put a note on your account saying you are legitimate and not linked to whoever they thought you were.

Even if your PayPal account is limited, if it carries a balance, you are eligible to withdraw after 6 months (mostly to prevent chargebacks).
